A Month in Beauty – April

April beauty favourites time! I would say that fro this month, my current theme has been “Natural and Glowy”. Few products, very light base, and lovely sultry highlighter. I loved some bright coral red on my nails, but I always reached for nude lips, and in particular for a product I mentioned already on these pages. So here are my April favourites.

Lottie Stay All Day Lip Kit in #TBT – POST
I talked about this lip kit in this post here, where I was mentioning a few drugstore lip kits inspired by Kylie Jenner famous kits. Among all the kits I tried, I have to say this Lottie one has been my favourite. I absolutely love the colour, which a nudeish-grey pink. It does last a good while on my lips (but doesn't resist a lunch/dinner), especially the pencil, which is fab! It also doesn't dry too much. I will definitely check out some more of their colours.

Benefit Fake Up
A really old favourite of mine, I usually take it our of my drawer during spring and summer, cause I love its outside creamy part, which is very hydrating. The concealer itself it pretty light, so not the first option for those days when I need a better coverage, but absolutely perfect if I need a light and natural base, hydrating and long lasting. It doesn't crease to me, but I read online that it does it to some girls, so maybe its better fixing it with some loose powder as well.

Revolution Radiance Palette
I bought this palette a good while ago, but I only started using it on a daily basis during this month. I bought it principally because everybody on the web was saying it was a good dupe for the most famous (and pricey) Hourglass Ambient Lighting. I don't own the Hourglass palette, however, checking the swatches online I can say that it doesn't look like a perfect dupe (one of colours, the darker one, definitely is pretty different to the Hourglass one). However, their principle is roughly the same: a light, glowy powder, which can be used both as a sultry highlighter, or a power to apply on the whole face, to give a pretty flat foundation a glowy look. I am usually using them as highlighters, as my skin is combination/oily and I don't feel like giving it more shine! I am tempted to give it a try anyway, with the spring and summer coming, to give my skin a lovely “just coming from a day on the beach” look.

MAC Blushbaby
This is one my favourite MAC blushes. Definitely its not the most famous, but I love because its so natural and light on the skin, to give the perfect “makeup-no makeup” look. Moreover, its colour is very neutral, and it goes perfectly with any kind of lipstick or eye look.

Tarte High Performance Naturals
The only Tarte palette I own. From times to times I reach again for it, end up falling in love with it again, and use it for months. I really like its collection of neutral-pink colours, and I find it absolutely appropriate for the spring time. Its quality is lovely, the powders are so buttery and long lasting, but I always use them with a primer, because of my nasty super oily lid.

Benefit Goof Proof brow Pencil
Not my favourite brow pencil, I have to say. Despite its great duration on my brows (once applied it dries out and stays there forever, really), I am not a fan of its pretty thick point (I am so used now to super thin ones, like Soap and Glory brow pencil or NYX). The colour as well is a tiny bit too dark for me, so I decided to keep on using it to finish it and buy a new one (probably the NYX one in Ash Brown).

Benefit They're Real
Not a mystery, this is one of the best mascara I ever tried. Not the one I reach for when I want loads of volume, but definitely the one I always take when I want great length, super dark lashes, and a really long lasting mascara. Taking it off is a bit tricky, and I really have to work on the eyelashes with the coconut oil, but I still really love it,

Essie Watermelon
The colour shouts “Summer” as loud as it can. I absolutely love it, and it is the one I reach the most in both spring and summer. I love using it on my hands, but to be honest I really like it on my toes the best, and end up using only this one all summer long (especially cause its so long lasting to need very little retouch).

Barry M Matte Nail Paint Vanilla
The other favourite of mine I used together with Watermelon is Vanilla by Barry M. First of all, I love the colour, so elegant and sultry. Secondly, I am crazy for its finish. So opaque, perfectly matte, gives my nails an elegant, smart look the moment I apply it. Moreover, being its colour so particular (a bit pinky, a bit dusty, a bit violet and grey), everybody gives me compliments when I use it, and keep me ask which nail polish it is. I am a bit concerned that there are not many colours I love in the same range, cause I would love to own many more of these.

Accessorize Sunglasses
Can we really say it is spring without a pair of tortoise sunglasses? These ones are from Accessorize, I bought them last summer, and I so love them! I particularly love the pointed shape, giving my face an immediate cat eye look. The tortoise print is a classic, and the slightly bigger lens give this “diva” look to them, that I like very much.

So, those are my favourites for April. Very curious of knowing yours, leave me a link with your April beloved products, I will surely check them out. Take care you all xoxo
