Binge it! - Fleming

Here is another mini series I've been watching recently and I really
liked. It is called Fleming – The Man Who Would be Bond, and is a
fictionalised biography about Ian Fleming, the author of the famous
James Bond books. This mini series focuses on his life from 1938 to
1952, and draws Fleming's romantic adventures as well as his
espionage for the British Royal Navy.
Dominic Cooper plays Fleming's role, while actress Lara Pulver plays
his love interest Ann O'Neill.
The series only lasts 4 episodes, and you can basically watch it in a
couple of days. I really liked it, the costumes, the scenography,
setting and acting, everything is very good. The story is pretty
interesting too, and even though Fleming's life has been very much
fictionalised, the spectator can't but be charmed by this man
adventures.
At the beginning of the series Fleming is drawn as a dissolute
playboy, living on his family wealth, and eclipsed by his father and
older brother successes. He likes women and basically changes one
every day, until he meets Ann O'Neill, the Viscountess Rothermere,
with whom he falls in love. The two are going to have an affair, and
I don't want to SPOILER here, but if know a little bit about
Fleming's life, you will probably know that Ann is going to become
his wife.
Later on in the series Fleming works with the Royal Navy against the
Nazi, and his strategies will be essential during the war; so much
the the Americans will ask him to write a blueprint of the Office of
Strategic Services.
A series I would recommend to watch, it is very pleasant and
interesting, not only if you like the character of James Bond.
